Dead Vlei is world-famous for the group of dead camel thorn trees scattered around a white clay pan in Naukluft Park, Namibia. The dead Namibian trees are surrounded by some of the world’s highest sand dunes located in Namib Desert (e.g. “Big Daddy” and “Crazy Dune”). It is truly one of the world’s most stunning natural wonders and it is a favorite destination for photography.
The famous sight is used in many films like Samsara and The Cell.
